In business, as is with nature, you must evolve to stay alive and flourish. You must see the opportunities in front of you and be able to shift your business model to take advantage of those opportunities. You must understand that not all customers make you money and some project types are more profitable than others. Not pursuing greener pastures would be a dis-service to your business, yourself, and your employees.

You can continue to tread water in mediocrity, or adapt and rise above it. Paths to greatness are rarely straight and wide and these turns in the road are necessary to get where you want to be. The following quote from Matthew 7:13-14 applies to business as much as anything.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Your name doesn’t matter, your image doesn’t matter. The only thing that defines who you are is the work you do, the dedication to your craft, and the effort put forth to continue to learn and grow. Continue to work hard and output quality work and all else will be overcome.

Design and development is our background. Jamerson Design was a company built upon this heritage and focused on providing website design and development services for companies of all sizes. We have had our successes, and could easily continue down the path we have started. However, as we have continued to learn and grow we have found our true passion falls more in the marketing realm than the design and development aspects of website construction.

As the website development fields continue to grow and the complexities of bringing a quality site to life increase, businesses are being forced to become more specialized. It is impossible to be an expert on every aspect of website design, development, and marketing and continue to stay up on industry trends and the latest technologies. With this in mind, it was obvious that a change was necessary.

With the shift in focus from website design and development to website marketing and search engine optimization, we felt the Jamerson Design name was no longer indicative of what we do. The move to Jamersan was prompted by our desire to have a brand-able, unique, one word name. We felt Jamersan accomplishes this goal and we are happy to now be operating as Jamersan.

Jamersan will continue to provide limited design and development services, but will do so focused more on the overall marketing efforts of the client. We will restrain from the “build it and forget it” clients that we have commonly taken on in the past. In doing so, we hope our work will flourish and we can continue to grow and adapt into the successful company we know we can be.
